Atolia Mine #5

This is what happens when you light a tube framed structure with different colored light from two angles. The purple and green blend and create interesting shadows and effects. In daylight, this structure is a rather boring shade of industrial yellow. The sky that night was full of fast moving clouds putting on a show of their own for the camera over the several minutes it took to expose these shots. The desert behind the mine buildings is littered with these rigs, some relatively recent metal ones like this, and some made of scary old crumbling timbers.
