Similar to "Coke Ovens #3", I tried this shot with a couple of lighting schemes. I like each for different reasons. This was a very cloudy night. Even shooting directly toward the moon my exposure times were often ten minutes or more. Normally if I include the moon in a shot, the exposure is completed in under a minute. I was working against intermittent rain too. A couple of times I had to wipe rain off the lens during an exposure, taking great care not to disturb the position of the camera until the shot was done. Actually, I was probably lucky. In this area, being November, it could have easily been snow.
