Vulcan Air Base, Furthest Hanger

Most of my shooting concentrated on the two furthest hangers. They were the most accessable but also in the poorest condition. It is difficult to get a sense of the sheer size of this place without actually being here. I had considerable difficulty lighting the shadows, frequently using 50 to 100 flashes and still getting barely adequate results.

See what these buildings looked like when they were new by visiting The Alberta Aviation Museum or learn more about the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan and its impact on Southern Alberta at The Nanton Lancaster Society and Air Museum.
